Dada Divas

Dada Divas: a modular opera, or anti-archive
Composed by Jacqueline Bobak
Directed by Cordelia Istel

Dada Divas celebrates the female pioneers of the Dada movement so often overshadowed by their male counterparts. The piece draws on the work and biographies of Emmy Hennings, Mina Loy, Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, and Hannah Höch to interrogate who and how we remember.

Dada Divas has been performed at Swissnex gallery (SF), city lights bookstore (SF), & automata (LA).
